Former couple Niall Horan and Ellie Goulding showed off their smiles for the camera at the Jingle Ball on Dec. 1.

During 06.1 FM's Jingle Ball at Dallas,Texas, both singers were spotted and photographed at the American Airlines Center's backstage before their performances.

There were no reports that the reunited former lovers, Ellie Goulding and Niall Horan were not doing a PDA instead both let out genuine smiles as they pose for the photographers, looking happy to see each other again.

The "Love Me Like You Do" singer, Ellie Goulding and One Direction singer and member, Niall Horan, 22 were rumored to be dating in 2014.

The 28-year old singer was also previously involved in a rumored relationship with Ed Sheeran speculating that his "Don't" song lyrics was about their complicated love triangle with Niall Horan, according to Hollywood Life.

Ellie Goulding confessed to Elle Magazine saying, "I did go on a few dates with Niall, but I was never in a relationship with Ed," according to Daily Mail. The singer said that she has no idea why it became mainstream or where the issue came from.

Her reunion with Niall Horan doesn't mean that she's rushing into anything with him. Her appearance at the Jingle Ball 2015 is her way of spending some time while taking a break from her relationship with Dougie Poynter, whom she dated for a year and a half, sources stated. The reported time off is due to their busy work schedules, making it difficult for the couple to keep their dating status.

A source said, "They've decided to have a temporary break to see if they can work things out," according to Mirror.

"They are both very sad that things have hit a rough patch, but are trying to see if a little distance can help them get through it," the statement continued.

Despite the recent reports, Ellie Goulding revealed that she is ready for marriage because of Dougie Poynter, who regained her trust for men.
