Uber introduced a new button for other apps can use to let their users to easily request for a ride.

‎Head of Product and Uber Developer Platform, Chris Saad said, "Today we're excited to announce the first version of a new kind of button, the official Uber Ride Request Button," according to a post on Uber Developer Blog.

The new button can be added and affiliated to third party apps developed in iOS and Android platforms. Uber app developers integrated an SDK or software development kit that includes minimal lines of programming codes to input the button into any system. As for Uber's policy, it will ban developers to use their developed button for their car service rivals.

Uber requested for developers to place "the button next to every address or "intent to ride," according to Tech Crunch. The Uber ride request button can be added into apps like transits, restaurants or concert apps to offer users a ride to their preferred destination.

The button can be utilize with just one tap  and will immediately open the Uber app with the destination choices or the app store for those who haven't installed it yet. For every use of the ride request button, U.S developers can earn $5 from each referred first time riders, in which the company's payout is a minimum of $250 and max of $500, according to Mashable.

In order for developers to join the affiliate program, they need to register it on the Uber Developer Dashboard, then install the new Uber in either Android or iOS platform SDK and configure the ride request option and display it to every address or "intent to ride." Lastly, developers should optimize their app by putting on enough specific details about the trip like destination, product, and pick-up.

The Uber ride request button was initially introduced in March 2015 but it needs more development for better functionality. The company has always been committed in efficient processing for users by getting a ride with just one tap.
