K-pop girl group ILLIT's third mini-album 'bomb' sold 326,000 copies on its first day, setting a new personal record for the group on June 16.

The Hanteo Chart data shows 'bomb' surpassed their previous best first-day performance of 298,000 copies from 'I'LL LIKE YOU', released in October 2024.

The album's lead single "Billyeoon Goyangi (Do the Dance)" samples "Elegant Escape" from the 1989 Japanese animation "The Five Star Stories" and tells the story of first-date nervousness. The Korean title refers to the expression "borrowed cat," describing feeling awkward in unfamiliar situations.

The five-track release includes B-sides "little monster," "jellyous," "oops!," and "bamsopoong."

ILLIT has shown consistent sales growth since their March 2024 debut. The group surpassed 1 million cumulative album sales within seven months of debuting, with their debut album "SUPER REAL ME" selling over 630,000 copies.

Their previous comeback "I'LL LIKE YOU" achieved 382,621 copies in first-week sales, breaking the group's previous record.

Beyond physical sales, ILLIT's "Magnetic" has reached 600 million streams on Spotify, while "Cherish (My Love)" hit 100 million streams. Their debut single "Magnetic" became the first K-pop debut song to enter both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and UK Official Singles charts.

The BELIFT LAB group, consisting of members Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha, recently completed sold-out fan concerts in Seoul and continues to expand their international presence.
