MAMA 2022 Awards Round-Up
Last week, the controversial MAMA 2022 happened on November 29 and 30 at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan. K-pop fans from all around the world were excited to know the winners of each category.

Artist of the Year was given to BTS. The popular K-pop group also won Best Male Group, MAMA Platinum, Yogibo Artist of the Year, Yogibo Worldwide Icon of the Year, and Yogibo Album of the Year for their album "Proof." BTS Member J-Hope also won an award for Most Popular Male Artist and Bibigo Culture & Style.
For the Worldwide Fans' Choice, the top 10 are the following: Stray Kids, SEVENTEEN, TREASURE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, GOT7, PSY, NCT DREAM, ENHYPEN, BTS, and BLACKPINK.
The Favorite New Artist Award were given to the following: IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX, and Kep1er.
Stray Kids also won the Yogibo Chill Artist award. IVE also won the Best New Female Artist and Best Dance Performance Female Group for their song "LOVE DIVE". SEVENTEEN won Best Dance Performance Male Group for their song "HOT." BIGBANG won Best Vocal Performance Group for their song "Still Life." Lim Young Woong received the Best Male Artist award, while TWICE member NAYEON received the Best Female Artist award. (G)I-DLE won the Favorite Girl Group award. JO1 bagged the award for Favorite Asian Artist.
BLACKPINK won the Best Female Group and won Best Music Video for their song "Pink Venom."
Girls Generation member Taeyeon received the award for Best Vocal Performance Solo for her song "INVU."
PSY won Best Collaboration award for his song "That That" which featured and produced by BTS member, SUGA.
Xdinary Heroes won the Best Band Performance for their song "Happy Death Day." Jay Park received the Best Hip Hop & Urban Music award for his song "GANADARA" featuring IU. MeloMance won Best Ost for "Love, Maybe" from "A Business Proposal." Min Hee Jin won the award for Breakout Producer. Global Music Tread Leader award was given to Zico.
The MAMA Awards (formally Mnet Asian Music Awards) is a music awards ceremony produced and organized by CJ E&M. The first awards event happened in South Korea in 1999, where majority of the winners are more mostly K-pop solo artists and groups. Other Asian artists also have won in the awards over the years.
