ITZY Confirms Comeback With New Mini-Album ‘Cheshire’

ITZY is making a comeback with the release of their upcoming new mini-album titled Cheshire. The album is expected to be released at the end of this month.

This news was confirmed when the group took to Twitter to uploade a teaser and scheduler image. The scheduler says that the first teaser film will be released on November 9, KST. This will be followed by a number of individual and group concept photos that will be constantly released this month.

The group is currently active and busy due to their current world tour titled ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR: CHECKMATE.

ITZY is a girl group produced and managed by JYP Entertainment. The group officially made their debut in 2019. The group consists of the following members: Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna.

The group debuted on February 12, 2019 on the release of their single album titled It'z Different. The groups awards include Rookie of the Year during the 34th Gold Disc Awards, New Artist of the Year at the 9th Gaon Chart Music Awards, and the 2019 Melon Music Awards.

ITZY also won the Best New Female Artist award at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards. The are also the "firt K-pop girl group to achieve such a 'Rookie Grand Slam."

One of their hit songs from their first single album was Dalla Dalla which had elements inspired by future house and bass house, both of which are EDM sub-genres. Upon the song's debut in major platforms, it was well-received by fans due to its upbeat music and empowering lyrics. The group bagged the biggest Billboard debuts for a K-pop act in years. Dalla Dalla peaked at number three in the charts on its debut, then at number two on the World Digital Song Sales chart.

Dalla Dalla reached 2,000 downloads in the United States alone on its debut week.
