Microsoft's Cortana beta version will soon be available for iOS devices users.

Cortana is a mobile phone personal assistant, which is dubbed as a rival to Google Now and Apple's Siri. Beta testers who joined the program were informed through an email revealing that Cortana is already available for download on iOS platform.

The Cortana beta version is a voice integrated assistant that has an ability to manage tasks, reminders, schedules, alarms and available flights, according to Tech Crunch.

TestFlight is producing the Cortana beta version for iOS before its official roll out. Microsoft has been suggesting Cortana beta testers to schedule a reminder using the app in a Windows 10 PC and check if it would sync into their iOS device and also test how Cortana responds to users' questions, according to Engadget.

The app was first developed for Android in August through a mass beta testing before its release on iOS devices and Google platforms.

In early November, Microsoft posted a blog saying, "Your life is not limited to one device, and neither is your digital assistant," according to PC Mag.

"Cortana is with you on your Windows 10 PC, tablet, and phone-helping you whenever and wherever you need it. But we also know that there's a choice of mobile devices out there, so we want help from our Windows Insiders to make sure she's a great personal assistant on iOS too," the post continued.

Microsoft wants the beta version to explore its whole functionality in Windows environment "where she can really shine." There are some features that will only be available in Windows PC that are not supported in iOS smartphones such as the command "Hey Cortana" for activation. Microsoft wants to make the iOS version as "the perfect companion" for Windows users.

There are 2,000 beta testers for Cortana iOS beta version and the company has not released an official release date for the app as of the moment, according to The Verge.
