Fans speculate that Star-Lord will have Captain Marvel as his father in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," according to Cinema Blend.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" has become one of the favorites of Marvel movie fans of late due to its humor, action scenes and how each of the characters is unique and plays well together. It became a blockbuster hit right away when it came out and fans are eagerly waiting for the sequel, which will be out in the near future. For now, many fan websites are beginning to speculate what might come in the next sequel.

Some websites are now speculating that Mar-Vell or Captain Marvel could be the father of Peter Quill or famously known as Star-Lord. James Gunn has already said that it will not be J'Son of Spartax which was the real father of Peter Quill in the comics, so fans speculated that Captain Marvel might be the perfect candidate, according to IGN.

In addition, it was also speculated that this was the role Matthew McConaughey passed on for the next movie.

While "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" rumors are flying about, there has been an update to one of the cast for the movie. Zoe Saldana, who acts as Gamora, is now transforming herself for the role. Images of her covered in thick green goo have been posted on Twitter while she prepares for her role, according to Dailymail.

Gunn also went to say his dislike for different websites that try to reveal plot details of films that are coming in many months. He expresses that his film will not rely on plot twists to be an enjoyable experience. It will just be a small part of the whole plan for "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," according to Gamespot.

"I got in this business because I love movies, and I think most film journalists are the same way. And spoiling plot details doesn't add to the enjoyment of the film-going experience," said Gunn.
