It's award season once again, and Korean netizens and netizens around the world are very excited about the upcoming Mnet Asian Music Awards 2021, or also called MAMA.

MAMA has become one of the biggest events of the year in the Korean showbiz industry. It has seen many groups make history and it has been on TV for the longest time. Despite the show being in Korean, several Korean pop fans around the globe watch the awards show. Now, there are rumors of the supposed lineup of MAMA 2021. Here's what we know so far.

It has been announced earlier this month that Mnet's MAMA 2021 will be hosted by none other than Lee Hyori herself, the singer turned TV personality has dabbled in hosting before and fans can't wait to see Lee Hyori on stage introducing the performers.

One netizen posted online on a community board the supposed lineup for MAMA 2021. According to this line-up, international stars such as Justin Bieber and the Japanese girl group AKB48 will be performing. There is also a special segment called 'JYP Party', which features various artists from JYP Entertainment.

The rumored lineup is as follows, the first performers of the night would be BTS and TWICE. They will be followed by Stray Kids, ATEEZ, TOMORROW x TOGETHER. Then the third act will be done by Seventeen, ITZY, NCT 127, Red Velvet, aespa. 4th would be the legends of Korean pop culture, Lee Hyori, J.Y. Park, BoA, Psy, and the cast of 'Street Woman Fighter'. Lastly, the closing act will be the international stars, such as Justin Beiber, AKB48, NiziU and JO1.

Fans are very excited about the rumored line up but there are many groups not included. Some have complained that BLACKPINK is not on it, MONSTA X, or NCT dream. The lineup is still speculation and will surely undergo changes. Let's hope other groups will perform in MAMA 2021.
