'Legends Of Tomorrow' Extended Trailer Released; Rip Hunter Details Included!
The CW recently released a "Legends of Tomorrow" extended trailer and revealed new superheroes added to the cast lineup.
The new trailer was shown in advance of "The Flash" and "Arrow" upcoming link episodes. The current superhero series were gradually introducing the cast members that will appear in the upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow."
A new superhero team was made for "Legends of Tomorrow" and got their own spotlight in the trailer. The casts includes Brandon Routh as Atom, Heat Wave played by Dominic Purcell, White Canary played by Caity Lotz, Firestorm team that includes Victor Garber as Dr. Stein and Jax played by Franz Drameh, Falk Hentschel and Ciara Renee as Hawkman and Hawgirl, according to International Business Times.
The "Legend of Tomorrow" extended trailer shows a plot set in the year 2166 where Rip Hunter, played by Arthur Darvill, traveled from the future with a mission to recruit a team of elite superheroes that will travel back to 1970 timeline and fight against the villain, Vandal Savage, played by Casper Crump from conquering the world, reported by Wired.
Two superhero characters from "Arrow" made an appearance in the trailer giving a brief talk to the new superhero team before their time travel to 70s.
"Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter must assemble a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat to the planet...and to time itself," says the trailer's plot description, as reported by BGR.
Fans have recognized a detail in the "Legends of Tomorrow" extended trailer about Rip Hunter's time travel ship -- it is named after Waverider, a young superhero during the 90s who could travel through time using his own powers, according to Den of Geek.
The show's upcoming premiere caused other series to have a new timeslot that includes "Flash" airing will be moved on Tuesdays, "Arrow" during Wednesdays and Thursday slot will be for "Legends of Tomorrow."
The CW DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" will premiere on Jan.21, 2016 at 8 pm EST.
