Ong Seong Woo may be coming back with a new drama!

On May 13, a source in the industry confirmed that the actor would star in the upcoming KakaoTV drama "How About a Cup of Coffee?" which is based on Heo Young Man's Korean comics title.

"The KakaoTV original drama 'How About a Cup of Coffee?' is being prepared," KakaoTV said in response to the article. "Right now, we're working on casting. Ong Seong Woo, who got a casting request, is favorably evaluating the offer," the website continued.

Ong Seong Wu has been offered the role of Kang Go Bi, a coffee enthusiast who works as a rookie barista at Park Seok's coffee shop. Through Park Seok's life lessons, Kang Go Bi learns about coffee and humans.

As of this writing, there are no other details on who the directors will cast for the other characters of the series.

This will be Ong Seong Woo's first drama since 2020's "More Than Friends" if he accepts the deal. The recording of "How About a Cup of Coffee?" is set to begin in June, with a premiere sometime in the second half of this year.

He is currently under Fantagio Entertainment, where he made news a couple of weeks ago for producing a high record of sales from his singing and acting roles. His contract is reportedly set to expire in 2024, so we can still expect many activities for him in the future.

Ong Seong Woo is an idol and actor from South Korea. He is best known for his fifth-place finish on the survival reality show Produce 101 Season 2 and for being a member of the show's program boy group Wanna One. Following the disbandment of Wanna One, Ong made his acting debut in the film "At Eighteen." His latest work was with Shin Ye-eun in "More Than Friends."
