‘Parasite’ Director Bong Joon Ho Selected As Award Presenter For The 93rd Oscar Awards

The 93rd Oscars is scheduled to happen on April 25 in Los Angeles. Early this week, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the following award presenters for this year's event. The well-acclaimed director of the South Korean film "Parasite," Bong Joon Ho, is one of them. He will be joined with other top Hollywood stars such as Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, Joaquin Phoenix, Zendaya, and more.

Aside from Bon Joon Ho, who is confirmed to be attending the event, South Korean stars Han Ye Ri, Youn Yeo Jung, and the cast of the 2021 hit film "Minari" are also confirmed to be attending the Oscars. "Minari" is a film directed by Lee Isaac Chung.

For those who want to catch the winners for the 93rd Oscars, the event will start at 8 pm Eastern Standard Time on April 21, 2021. Announcements of live-stream or TV airing of the event may be announced in your area or on social media soon.

"Parasite" is a South Korean film released in 2019. Bon Joon Ho directed the film, who also co-wrote the screenplay along with Han Jin-Won. The film stars Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Yeo-jeong, Choi Woo-shik, Park So-dam, Jang Hye-jin, and Lee Jung-eun. This black comedy thriller film is centered on a low-income family who plotted to be employed by a wealthy family and infiltrate their household by pretending to be unrelated, highly qualified individuals.

The film was well-praised by critics and audiences all around the world. Aside from the numerous accolades it received, "Parasite" also won significant awards in the 92nd Academy Awards like Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best International Feature Film. "Parasite" is the first non-English language film to date to win the Academy Award for Best Picture category. 

Movie fans and critics from around the world are looking forward to who wins in this year's Oscars.
