Katy Perry Thrills In High-Tech Virtual Performance During Shopping Sale Event In Asia
Katy Perry, wearing the color of the eCommerce shopping platform Lazada, wowed global audiences and online shoppers with her performance at the pre-sale concert event Friday night. She is watched across Southeast Asia, in the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Looking simple yet fabulous in her blue dress, Katy Perry performed her greatest hits, "Dark Horse," "Roar," and "Cry About It Later," in a virtual stage set up with high-tech computer imagery in each of her songs.
Birthday sale concert
Lazada, one of the biggest eCommerce shopping platforms in Southeast Asia, conducted their birthday sale concert before the sale event today. They are celebrating their ninth birthday with discounts, vouchers, and so much more.
Katy Perry has been selected to grace the online shopping sale event along with K-Pop's NCT DREAM, and various artists across Southeast Asia.
The international pop singer also led the feature of the winners of Lazada's Forward Women Awards 2021, honoring women online sellers in line with International Women's Month.
"Thank you so much for supporting me and loving me all this time. I'm excited to come back and see you and hug you and sing for you and just hopefully spread a little bit of light and love and joy and hear you sing with me. How about that?" Katy Perry told her fans in Southeast Asia.
Collaboration with Taylor Swift
Meanwhile, the "Birthday" singer also hinted at a possible collaboration with Taylor Swift, who she had a feud with several years back when Taylor Swift's backup dancers allegedly left to perform for Katy Perry's concert tour instead.
"Imagine if Taylor and I work together, what we could do?" Katy Perry said on Monday's episode of "American Idol."
Taylor Swift's song several years in the past, "Bad Blood" is alleged to be hurled at Katy Perry, talking about their feud. Yet, in her music video for "You Need To Calm Down," Katy Perry has been featured.
