BTS Stays Positive Despite Not Winning the Grammy Award: A Follow-Up

It's not yet the end of the world for BTS, even if they did not win the Grammy award. This was the first nomination the South Korean boy band got from the prestigious award-giving body.

"I saw a lot of articles saying we 'failed' to get the award, but I don't think it's a fail since we were able to perform for the first time as nominees," RM said. "I don't think it's a failure but let's look at the positive side; we were nominated for the first time and did our first solo performance."

BTS stays positive, although the award for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance went to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. BTS fans cannot do anything but become upset. What disappoints them more are the caricatures depicting the members. It depicts the members as being physically beaten to bruises by the Grammy award, which circulated on social media. 

Adding salt to injury are the trading stickers that the Garbage Pail Kids released. This parody of the Cabbage Patch Kids is recognized for featuring characters with misfortune. The Topps Company unleashed a Grammy-themed Garbage Pail Kids series and called it the "Shammy Awards" collection.

BTS is included in the said collection features, which also includes Billie Eilish and Harry Styles, among others. The images of the South Korean K-Pop group were put on a "Whac-a-Mole" game set up while holding the Grammy award at the same time, which hit their faces resulting in bruises. No wonder that the sticker was titled "BTS Bruisers."

After the big event, BTS showed up on the South Korean live video streaming service, V live. They chitter-chatter with their fans regarding the big night. 

Jin, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook, and Suga dropped in virtually from Seoul on the Sunday show. They performed their hit "Dynamite," which earned them their first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
