BTS Gets Nominated for Grammy’s Best Pop Group Performance

It's an explosion of great performance when BTS hit the center stage with "Dynamite" during the 61st Annual Grammy Awards night last March 15.

BTS is unstoppable as they continue to mark their name in the music industry. This year, they earned their first-ever Grammy nomination, including their K-Pop first nomination.

The lovable South Korean boy group's other current achievements include "Life Goes On" from their 2020 single. It has become the first non-English song to hit the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. At the same time, Time magazine recognized BTS as the 2020 Entertainer of the Year.

Their "Love Yourself: Tear" album has been nominated for Best Recording Package. It landed number 1 on the Billboard 200 in May. The album is likewise nominated together with HuskyFox. It is listed on the official album's credits for "artwork." Huskyfox is a professional branding company based in Seoul. Its goal to establish a relationship between brands and users by constructing a persona through brand languages and visual elements to understand design.

BTS continues to ride "Hallyu" or "Korean Wave" and spread it across the globe. Their followers keep increasing and still counting. According to experts, the success of cultural industries such as South Korea is a culmination of the nation's entire socioeconomic development from the previous decades.

Hallym University Mass Communications Professor Shin Dong Kim said, And there has been some attention on the fandom, the peculiar aspect of K-pop fandom, for example, Army for BTS...My view was that all these things came into one grand picture together."

Being nominated for the Grammy Awards is already a great accomplishment. What made BTS happier was when they perform during the event as the first Korean performers on the Grammy stage.

The recognition that BTS gained is another attestation of the significance of a larger team collaborating with each other. Aside from creating high-quality music, it also generates excellent visuals as well as the overall presentation that harmonize with larger themes the music represents.
