On Thursday, February 25th, the United Nations has officially chosen BLACKPINK, with Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jennie, as their newest ambassadresses for their Climate Change Conference in the United Kingdom for this year.

Photos of their courtesy call with the United Nations are posted on Twitter with the BLACKPINK singers looking classy with their black, grey and white styling ensemble.

The United Nations UK or the United Nations Association UK is one of the divisions of the United Nations worldwide that began in 1945 and is the European country's advocate for the UK action at the UN. It is also the nation's leading source of analysis for the UN. The association is the vibrant grassroots movement of various individuals from all walks of life around the globe.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference is the yearly conference that follows the framework of the UN Framework Convention On Climate Change or the UNFCCC, serving as the official meeting of the UNFCCC parties to assess the progress in dealing with climate change, negotiating the Kyoto Protocol to establish partnerships with developed countries in order to reduce their carbon footprint.

BLACKPINK is the perfect ambassador for the United Nations, especially when they launched a campaign video titled "Climate Action In Your Area #COP26" in 2020, bearing their tagline and song lyrics. They aim to raise awareness of climate change, which the UK conference will host.

At present, they are the ambassadors for worldwide brands such as soda company Pepsi, Philippines-based telecommunications company, Globe, and so much more. With their recent promotions with the UN, they are expected to continue promoting their climate campaign until the conference date happening this November 2021.

BLACKPINK already shared their thoughts about their recent achievement. They shared on their official Instagram page, including their interview with BBC. They told their fans globally that everyone can drive impact and contribute to saving the environment, addressing various issues the world faces.
