Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin

When it comes to the relationship goals of popular Korean celebrities, it is indeed a roller coaster ride. Several couples do not want to reveal their relationships to the public until after several months of dating. You can remember "Crash Landing On You" stars Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, who have been dating for several months before confirming during the New Year they are together.

Unlike in Hollywood, wherein celebrities will usually see themselves on the news the moment they get started with their new relationships. In Korea, it is different. Let's get to know the most controversial Korean celebrity relationships in this article.

Lee Sung-kyung and Nam Joo-hyuk: Because of strict contracts with their agencies

It took a while before Lee Sung-kyung and Nam Joo-hyuk revealed their relationship, and they are not the only couple in Korea whose reason is the strict contract with their agencies.

Did you know entertainment agencies in Korea have particular provisions when managing their talents? These include not allowing the celebrity to engage in a relationship or even have it publicized. When they do so, they may pay dues and fines. Lee Sung-kyung and Nam Joo-hyuk are from YG Entertainment.

Super Junior's Lee Sungmin and wife: Obsessive fans

Their contracts may not include provisions not to reveal their relationships, but there are Korean celebrities who choose to hide theirs because of obsessive fans.

Such fans can get jealous of their new relationships because of how they loved the actor, actress, or singer so much. This was the case with Super Junior Sungmin and his wife when the latter's Instagram account was hacked by the fans. They love Sungmin so much, don't they?

At the end of the day, these Korean celebrities are just human. They each have their tidbits of private lives despite being popular worldwide.
