Travel website Big 7 Travel has revealed this year's 50 most Instagrammable places in the world, with Tokyo, Japan, clinching the first spot. Also included in the Philippines, Paris in France, New York City in the United States, and so much more. Let's find out the countries that made it to the list.

Instagram has always been the app that travelers and tourists love to utilize when taking snapshots of their destinations. Unfortunately for other nations, it seems that Tokyo in Japan is the most Instagrammable location, with the scenery perfect for your social media feed.

Big 7 Travel said Tokyo is "mind-blowing," and this is one of the reasons why it is named the most Instagrammable place in the world for 2021.

"Ancient shrines, other-worldly art exhibits, and vibrant neon-lit billboards galore are just a few things that make Tokyo a hit on the gram... Take a look at Instagram and your mind will be blown - more than 53 million #tokyo hashtags reveal why this city is the most Instagrammable place in the world for 2021," the travel website stated.

The travel website sourced out their rankings from Instagram hashtags about these places, plus surveys to 600,000 people and followers of its food and travel Instagram accounts on where they think is the most Instagrammable place in the world.

At the number two spot is the Philippines that the travel website included for its underground river, rice terraces, and the vibrant culture that span over its 7,500 islands.

Rounding up the top three is Paris in France, Instagrammable for the European city's "charming bistros, buzzing brasseries, corner-street musicians, and the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower."

"Need we say more," Big 7 further said.

New York and Istanbul are in the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. New York has been noted for its Empire State Building, Brooklyn, and more that are ideal for Instagram feeds. The "pastel-coloured minarets of Hagia Sophia" are one of those that have captivated travelers when they visit Istanbul, Turkey.

Likewise making it to the 2021 list are Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Havana in Cuba, Sydney in Australia, London in the United Kingdom, and Chicago in the U.S.
