BTS Continues To Soar; 'Boy With Luv' Surpasses 1.1 Billion Views On YouTube
Loved by many, BTS or the Bangtan Boys is a seven-member boy band from South Korea. They debuted under Big Hit Entertainment in 2013.
Since then, they have successfully captivated the hearts of many, creating a number of ARMYs and followers of their music throughout the world.
Now, they made another YouTube history as their "Boy With Luv" music video surpassed the 1.1 billion mark. They released the song last April 12, 2019, about one year plus nine months ago. "Boy With Love" is their second music video to gain 1.1 billion views. The first was the music video of "DNA."
On Sunday BTS continued to reach newer heights, as they set a new record by winning their fourth "Album of the Year" award. They have been winning the said award for four years now at the Golden Discs Awards.
As per Soompi, this award from the Golden Disc is an addition to their Digital Daesangs, which makes it a total of five. That means they are the first artist in history to achieve this milestone.
Aside from that, the Grammy Award nominee Kpop boy group also took home a Bonsang in the digital song and album divisions and the Curapox Golden Disc Most Popular Artist Award. Not to mention they treated the viewers with a jaw-dropping performance.
When it comes to music, they already released many popular hits. Their fourth full album, "Map of the Soul: 7," recently sold a total of 646,000 physical albums in the USA, becoming its bestselling physical album of the year 2020.
According to the year-end report by MRC Data, along with Billboard, the BTS's physical album had that number of sales from January 1 to December 31, 2020.
Last year was huge for the group. They did not only have a bestselling album, but they also had a top-selling digital song of 2020, which is the track "Dynamite," with 1.26 million downloads.
Surely, they will not stop conquering the hearts of their fans now.
