BTS Bagged Four Daesang At The 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards
BTS bagged all four Daesang at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards for the second year in a row.
Song Joong Ki hosted the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards last December 6 without a live audience because of the COVID-19 restrictions.
Daesang sweep
The Korean boy group BTS went home with a total of eight awards that night. The recognition includes four Daesangs, the Album of the Year for Map of the Soul: 7, Worldwide Icon of the Year, Song of the Year for Dynamite, and Artist of the Year.
The other awards include Best Make Group, Best Performance -Male Group for Dynamite, Best Music Video for Dynamite, and Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10. Moreover, IU's eight, produced by and featured BTS' Suga, won Best Collaboration.
Surprise appearance of Suga
In the speech regarding the Album of the Year, Jimin stated that he wanted to thank all the people who supported them. Suga is also recovering from his shoulder surgery, but they received such a significant award that he made a surprise appearance that night.
Through a phone call, Suga said that he is watching the ceremony live. He wanted to express gratitude to the ARMY who gave them the Album of the Year award. The group's second year in a row, where they received the Album of the Year award.
BTS will be complete in no time
The album received so much love this year, and they worked hard to prepare the album in the United States and other regions. They felt happy knowing that they won and they will continue to work hard also with Suga's recovery.
