Wanna One Ex-member Lai Kuanlin Apologizes For Smoking And Spitting Issue, Responds To Dating Rumors

Former Wanna One member Lai Kuanlin has responded to the controversies surrounding him. Photos of the singer made their way to Chinese platforms where he was seen smoking in the streets of China with a friend. 

People did not really mind that he was smoking, he is, after all, already of legal age. But what got many netizens mad is that aside from smoking he was also spitting on the streets. A lot of fans were very disappointed in his actions, and he trended in Weibo's search ranking because of it. 

Because of the backlash, the 19-year-old released a public apology through his Weibo account. He said he was sorry for his actions and that he was willing to accept whatever criticism is given to him. He also promised that he has learned his lesson and he will not be doing it again in the future. 

But it seems that even some of his most loyal fans are not happy even after he apologized. A certain fansite of the rapper, Kuanlin_MEM, claimed that it is not the first time that he has been photographed doing such acts. The fansite proceeded to say that Kuanlin was an uncultured person and even cursed the artist. 

The fansite did not only lash out at the singer, but exposed personal details as well. They alleged that Kuanlin had a girlfriend and that they recently visited a cat cafe. Photos of Kuanlin in the cafe were released, along with photos posted by the alleged girlfriend. 

Kuanlin has denied the rumors of him having a girlfriend, but some users have claimed that the girl he is dating is a certain Ceci Zhang. The said woman is said to be 10 years older than Kuanlin. The former Wanna One member insists that at this time he is focusing on his work and that if there will be good news in the future, he will not hesitate to share it with his fans.
