Many fans are, already, thrilled for the upcoming release of Space Sweepers, which will be the supposed official comeback of Song Joong Ki to the big screens. Aside from Vincenzo, the former husband of Song Hye Kyo is, also, working on the upcoming South Korean space film, which is set to be released on Netflix instead due to the perils brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recently, Kim Tae Ri revealed why she decided to accept the project. In an interview with DAZED Magazine, the actress stated she liked the script when she first read it. "It's set in space, but there's a definite 'Korean' feeling about it," she divulged to the publication.

The co-star of Song Joong Ki, also, gave her thoughts on love. Kim Tae Ri said she wants to be with someone who knows how to love and to be loved. "I think that all discord starts from a heart that doesn't know how to love. This also affects your perception of society," the actress furthered.

At the moment, Kim Tae Ri shared she loves to be on set as she, often, feels the love there. "I want to embrace it all in my heart and repay it however I can. Isn't the world a more beautiful place if you think like this," Song Joong Ki's pal shared.

Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki revealed that he learned about the Space Sweeper concept when he was still working on the A Werewolf Boy series. The ex-lover of Song Hye Kyo claimed that he found the idea "new" and "challenging," adding that the genre really piqued his interest.

"Even while we were filming 'A Werewolf Boy' nine years ago, I'd heard that he was preparing for a space-themed sci-fi film. I thought the concept of space junk was new, and I was attracted to the challenge in making South Korea's first space-themed sci-fi film," Song Joong Ki said, per Soompi.

For starters, Space Sweepers focuses on the journey of three astronauts who met a humanoid robot called Dorothy. Song Koong Ki will portray Tae Ho, a poor man who dons a pair of socks with holes as he pursues a life chasing money. It is expected to be released on Netflix before 2020 ends.
