Lee Chaerin, more famously known as CL, has announced that she is postponing the release of her album "ALPHA". The original release date was set on November 30, 2020, but will now be moved to the first half of 2021.

The singer/ rapper herself announced the decision on her social media account. She explained that as she was preparing for her album, she has encountered not just new ideas but new opportunities that can be incorporated into the project. She also claimed that because this is her first physical album, she considers it more meaningful and hopes that her fans, called GZBs, will understand the need for postponement. Fans of CL have been waiting a long time for her to release new material. She ended her contract with YG Entertainment late last year and went on to release several tracks in her EP "In the Name of Love". Prior to her announcement of her full album "ALPHA", she released two tracks recently, "HWA" and "5STAR". The former was performed for the first time on "The Late, Late Show with James Corden", the same show where she performed her song "Lifted" a few years ago.

As of present, she is not signed to any entertainment company for her promotions in Korea.
