BTS is, undeniably, among the most talk-about boybands in the world today. Aside from being great performers, V, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga, Jin, RM, and J-Hope are also known for spreading love through humanitarian efforts and giving donations to relevant causes. This culture has influenced their fans, who are collectively known as ARMYs.

In fact, avid followers of the famous boy group in the Philippines have raised more than P2 million for those who were affected by Typhoon Vamco's damages. ARMYs launched donation drives to gather food and essential packs and raised money for the affected communities.

Among the BTS fan groups who contributed to the meaningful fund-raising efforts include Only Bangtan PH, KiminitieyPh, Bangtan Wings, Lyla Shop, Taekook Iloilo, Pearl Pop PH, 613PH, 70ve For A Cause, Purple Domination, Melona Project, Isang Daan = Isang Bangon, Dimunyunnies and GABKKOO among others.

On Sunday, National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Executive Director Ricardo Jalad revealed that the death toll was at 67 already. There were, also, 13 recorded missing in Metro Manila, Bicol, and CALABARZON region. Twenty-one people were reported injured in Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol, CALABARZON, and Cagayan Valley. A total of 523,871 families were affected by Typhoon Vamco.

It can be recalled that every BTS member has given thousands of dollars to good causes, including UNICEF's End Violence Against Children, Amazon rainforest, and Black Lives Matter campaigns.

Some remarkable contributions include the group's donation to the Crew Nation campaign, amounting to US$1 million, in support of live concert crew members who have been affected by the ongoing pandemic. BTS leader RM, reportedly, has given 100 million won to Seoul's National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art while rapper Suga donated the same amount to the Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association for its COVID-19 relief efforts.
