'Parasite' Earns 7 Nominations in Critics' Choice Awards

"Parasite," directed by Bong Joon Ho, earned 7 nominations for the Critics' Choice Awards. The nominations, announced by the American-Canadian Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Foreign-Language Film, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Production Design and Best Editing.

"Parasite" is up against 10 films in the category of "Best Picture." These films include "The Irishman," "Marriage Story," "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,"and "Joker."

The winners for the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards will be announced on Jan. 12.

"Parasite" has already gathered great success in U.S. film festivals. They won the top award at the Cannes Film Festival, Best Film by the L.A. Film Critics Association, and also Best Picture at the Toronto Film Critics Association Awards. Bong received a Golden Globe nod for Best Director.
