The world's largest Korean pop culture fan convention and concert, KCON, has announced the initial lineup of artists that will hit the stage in New York City. The first two acts that are confirmed to perform in KCON 2019 NY are NU'EST and TXT.

This is the first time that KCON will be in Manhattan. The event will have a two-day event at the Madison Square Garden and Javits Center on July 6-7. After the NYC event, KCON will be in Staples Center and LA Convention Center in Los Angeles on August 15-18.

More K-pop acts and the details for the tickets for the KCON 2019 are expected to be announced in the coming days. Aside from concerts, KCON 2019 will also feature different events that are all related to Korean entertainment and pop culture.

NU'EST's label, Pledis Entertainment, has confirmed that all five members of the group are returning to KCON this year. Members JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren are expected to perform their new songs from their upcoming album in KCON 2019 NY. The quintet is slated to drop their new album Happily Ever After on April 29.

The group performed at the first-ever KCON in 2012. They returned last year at KCON Los Angeles but with only four members, also known as NU'EST W. The group is now back together after the return of Hwang Minhyun who temporary promoted with Wanna One.

Meanwhile, TXT will be making their debut in KCON stage this year. Additionally, TXT will also treat their fans to live performances through their debut showcase in the United States.

They will kick their SHOWCASE: STAR tour in New York on May 9. It will be followed by a performance in Chicago on May 12 before heading to Orlando, Florida on May 14. They will also be making tour stops in Atlanta and Dallas on May 17 and 19, respectively, and in Los Angeles on May 24.

The BTS's juniors were formally introduced by Big Hit Entertainment in March with their mini-album The Dream Chapter: STAR and its lead track, "Crown." The rookie group already made history as the fastest K-pop group to debut on the Billboard 200 chart. TXT's first album landed at No. 140 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

The group is set to release a music video for their song "Cat & Dog" on April 25. Big Hit earlier released the first set of adorable concept photos for "Cat & Dog" featuring members Beomgyu and Yeonjun.
