BTS Nominated For Best International Group; K-Pop Group Leads Boy Group Brand Reputation Ranking For Third Consecutive Months

The BTS Army in the United Kingdom is expected to flood the BBC Radio 1's website with votes for the Bangtan Boys following the announcement of this year's nominees in Teen Awards 2018. BTS is nominated for the Best International Group category.

BBC Radio 1 has officially opened the voting for all categories in this year's Teen Awards of the broadcasting network. Voting is only available in the UK and it is open until August 17 only. BTS is going up against other international groups such as The Chainsmokers, 5 Seconds of Summer, The Carters, and Panic! at the Disco.

To receive a nod for Best International Group award, the group of artists must have released a single or an album that made it on to the UK's Official Chart Top 40 between August 10, 2017 and July 2, 2018. Both BTS's Love Yourself: Her and Love Yourself: Tear albums have been on the chart. Her peaked at No. 14 while Tear reached the No. 8 spot.

BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards gives recognition to teens' favorites in a variety of genres including music, games, television, and films. The Teen Awards 2018 winners will be announced at a show on October 21 at Wembley's The SSE Arena in London.

Meanwhile, the boy band reputation ranking for August has been revealed and BTS has kept the top post for third consecutive months. The boys are expected to keep their place next month as the nomination for the BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards 2018 has been announced recently. Moreover, BTS is also set to release a new album, Love Yourself: Answer, on August 24. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will also kick off their world tour on August 25 in Seoul.

BTS garnered a total index of 14,611,602 which is almost 30 percent increase from their score last month. Additionally, the "Fake Love" hitmakers' positivity-negativity analysis revealed a whopping score of 85.18 percent positive reactions. The highest ranking phrases in BTS's keyword analysis include "concert" and "world tour."

Wanna One, on the other hand, is holding to the second spot for the third consecutive month too. The group earned a total index score of 12,602,046, which is 19.16 percent increase in their index since July.

SEVENTEEN bumped EXO to the fourth spot to take the third place. The group rose to No. 3 with an impressive 125.63 percent increase since last month but recorded a quite far total index from second place Wanna One. SEVENTEEN scored 5,052,401 for August. EXO took the fourth spot with a little over 4 million indexes and BTOB rounded out the top five with over 3.3 million.
