Claire Underwood is in; Frank Underwood is out of the White House. In the upcoming House of Cards Season 6, a female president will start barking orders from the Oval Office.

Netflix has dropped the premiere date for the final season of the award-winning series. In a thrilling image shared on its official social media sites, the network announced that House of Cards Season 6 will start streaming beginning on November 3.

The promo poster for the show features the Claire (Robin Wright) seating in a stone chair, resembling the one from the Abraham Lincoln statue at Washington, D.C. It also pays homage to the promotional images of Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) back in Season 1.

It can be noticed that blood also drips from Claire's right hand. The blood in her hand could figuratively mean the crime she committed in the previous season or possibly it has something to do with her husband's fate in the upcoming installment. The image also has the hashtag #MyTurn, in reference to Claire's long-time ambition to seat in the highest post in the land.

Wright has stepped in as the lead character in Season 6 after former co-star Kevin Spacey (Frank Underwood) was ousted from the series following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. Spacey will no longer appear in Season 6 although the storyline on how Frank Underwood depart from the political circle remains under wrap.

It can be recalled that in Season 5 finale, Frank reached an agreement with his wife that he will step down as president and Vice-President Claire Underwood will take over. The deal was Claire will pardon Frank on her first national address as the President. That did not happen and it pisses off the former president.

In a way, Frank can quietly go and let Claire run the country but that is not his character. He may probably seek revenge on his wife and will be killed in the process. On how Netflix will do or their way to remove Frank from the show, that remains to see in November.

Meanwhile, Netflix has also cut the number of episodes this season. There will be eight episodes rather than the usual 13. The final season will also feature new cast members including Diane Lane, Greg Kinnear, and Cody Fern. Other cast members such as Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Constance Zimmer, Patricia Clarkson, Campbell Scott, Derek Cecil, and Boris McGiver will all return this season.

House of Cards is one of the most successful streaming TV series on Netflix. It has several nominations from the Primetime Emmy Awards, the Golden Globes, and other award-giving bodies. So far, the show won seven Emmys out of 46 nominations and two from the Golden Globes.
