BTS x Park Bo Gum: Coca-Cola Unveils New Ad
Coca-Cola just surprised everyone with the release of the unexpected team-up of BTS and Park Bo Gum. Also known as the Bangtan Boys, the group joins forces with one of the most sought-after actors in South Korea to promote the soft drink brand.
The newly-released commercial began with a hot summer day and BTS chilling by the pool. Suddenly, Park Bo Gum came to the rescue by bringing a bucket of cold Coca-Cola. He then rolled out a bottle towards the group's direction.
When the bottle fell into the pool, it successfully caught BTS's attention. From here, the party started. V, Jimin, Jin, Suga, and Jungkook, RM, and J-Hope played ice water fight with Park Bo Gum. They then took a dip in the pool, and the two famous South Korean artists ended the ad by drinking Coca-Cola.
With this collaboration, Soompi reported that Park Bo Gum recently sent a message to BTS through Coca-Cola. This is his way to support the Bangtan Boys for their recent comeback with a new album, Love Yourself: Tear. In fact, the Love in the Moonlight star is known for being good friends with V after they met in Music Bank.
To recall, BTS was recently chosen to star in a new ad campaign for Coca-Cola in April. The ads were even tied up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The group's first image for the brand showed V, Jimin, Jin, Suga, and Jungkook, RM, and J-Hope holding different Coca-Cola products.
Of course, BTS's fans celebrated the news and shared their excitement to see their favorite group promoting Coca-Cola. They were also hoping that their new endorsement could mean something big for the South Korean band, per Teen Vogue.
Aside from the flood of support on social media, the ARMY also has a lot of ideas regarding the ads' looks. In fact, they are hoping to see Coca-Cola bottles featuring BTS. They are also suggesting that the Bangtan Boys should do the record of the brand's annual Christmas song.
On the other hand, Park Bo Gum partnered up with Coca-Cola for its spring campaign together with Kim Se Jung in February. According to AllKpop, the brand announced on February 28 that the two were chosen as their models for the said season.
