A group of fans has launched an Outlander set-jetting map to give their fellow series' enthusiasts the best set location tour experience ever. The map aims to provide the Outlander fandom an organized itinerary that they can use when they follow the footsteps of Jamie and Claire.

The set-jetting map features almost 40 locations in Scotland that were all used in the Outlander series. A majority of the scenes in the previous seasons of time-travel drama were shot in Scotland. The cast and crew are also currently filming Season 4 across Europe, including Scotland.

The map has been upgraded, and new filming locations in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Ayrshire were added to the Outlander guide of Scotland's national tourism organization. The new additions coincide with the celebration of the release of the series' Season 3 Blu-Ray and DVD copies.

The map now has the Glasgow University – which doubled as Harvard University, the Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow as a Boston Park, the Craigmillar Castle in Edinburgh – which was used as Ardsmuir Prison, and the Signet Library in Edinburgh as the Governor's Mansion in Jamaica in Season 3.

Two locations in Royal Mile, Edinburgh are also featured on the map. The Bakehouse Close, which was transformed into Jamie's (Sam Heughan) print shop where Claire (Caitriona Balfe) reunited with her husband, and the Tweeddale Court which was used as a marketplace where Claire met with adult Fergus (César Domboy). Fans also dropped by the Dunure Harbour in Ayrshire, which stands in as the Ayr Harbour in the previous season.

About 28 Outlander fans toured the filming sites across Scotland to test-run the new map. The Outlander set location tour was organized by the travel agency Spirit Journeys and the US-based fan podcast, The Outlander Podcast.

"We know how much Scotland means to Outlander fans, and we feel sure the PodAbroad itinerary will deliver in terms of history, landscape, and locations. We hope the fans return home with a renewed and enhanced interest in all things Scottish," said Julia MacLeay, owner/director of Spirit Journeys.

The Outlander set location map can be downloaded for free at the website of the national tourism organization, VisitScotland. Printed copies are also available in some VisitScotland iCenters and featured locations.

Meanwhile, Outlander Season 4 will introduce new characters when it premieres in November. The new additions to the cast are the Lord of the Rings actor Billy Boyd, Tim Downie, Caitlin O'Ryan, Natalie Simpson, and Simona Brown.

Boyd will play the role of wealthy lawyer Gerald Forbes while Downie will portray Governor William Tryon. O'Ryan will act as Brianna's adventure companion Lizzie Wemyss, Simpson as Jocasta Cameron's (Maria Doyle Kennedy) maid Phaedre, and Brown as Brianna's BFF Gayle.
