BLACKPINK's 2018 Return: Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie Kim, Rose Done Filming New Music Video & Recording; Girls To Be Once Again Seen Performing Soon
K-pop fans are now celebrating as there is a new update about BLACKPINK's much-awaited return. After patiently waiting for Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie Kim, and Rose's comeback to the limelight, there are several reports the girls are done filming a music video for their new untitled song.
On Thursday, May 10, BLACKPINK was reportedly working on the production of their new track's music video. In fact, an insider from YG Entertainment confirmed the reports are true. "BLACKPINK began filming their music video," the source said, per Soompi.
The insider added BLACKPINK took a new genre and prepared for a really long time for their return. YG Entertainment's source then asked the fans, once more, to look forward to Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie Kim, and Rose's comeback. In no time, the girls' supporters are about to hear their new music as they also finally completed their title track's recording.
To recall, YG Entertainment's big boss Yang Hyun Suk has been teasing BLACKPINK's imminent return. The 48-year-old music executive even announced on his personal Instagram account that Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie Kim, and Rose are officially scheduled to return this May. In fact, he said they would be the third YG artist that will return to the limelight this year.
According to Metro, BLACKPINK announced their return in March after it was revealed they are working on their new music. It was then followed by a few updates from Yang Hyun Suk. Papa YG even said in a small Q&A on his Instagram account that he is doing his best every day to work hard for the girls' comeback. He also asked for their fans' patience if there has been a delay and their return is taking too long than expected.
However, Yang Hyun Suk promised he would make it happen. The YG Entertainment boss revealed BLACKPINK is going to have a mini-album, instead of a just a new song. This, too, is said to be the reason of the girls' delayed return. As previously reported by Korea Portal, Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie Kim, and Rose have to finish working on their new album first before they start working on the post-production stuff.
If everything is done and polished, YG Entertainment will start to announce their new songs and album's release date. As Yang Hyun Suk confirmed BLACKPINK's comeback is going to be this month, it looks like they will be once again seen performing really soon.
