'This Is Us’ Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers & Update: Big Revelations About The Third Installment Are Expected On NBC's Upfront Presentation

It's the annual networks' upfront presentation once again. For This Is Us fans, it's one way to learn something new about the show while waiting for Season 3. NBC is set to hold its annual upfront presentation on May 14.

Basically, all major TV networks will present their upcoming slate of programming to advertisers during a week-long upfront presentation. But more importantly, this is also the time that networks make major announcements including show renewals, cancellations, or changes in schedule. Aside from NBC, other TV networks are also set to have their upfront presentation from May 13 to May 17 in New York.

Last year, NBC announced during its presentation that This Is Us Season 2 will be taking the Thursday timeslot and will also have a long winter break. It received backlash from fans. Although the show had only one season at the time, many fans were already accustomed to having the Pearson family on their TV screens every Tuesday night. NBC eventually decided to bring back the show to its original day which is Tuesday, but the winter hiatus remained.

In the upcoming annual upfront presentation, it is unlikely that NBC will make an attempt to change the This Is Us timeslot to introduce a new show. A hint on who might be the mystery woman in flash-forward Randall-Tess conversation could be given out during the event. The names of the new addition to the cast members are also likely revelations that fans should watch out for on Monday. NBC may also announce the renewal of This Is Us for another season.

Avid followers of the Emmy-nominated series know that the upcoming season will feature Jack Pearson's (Milo Ventimiglia) past, particularly his time in Vietnam during the war. Season 3 will also dig deeper into the relationship of Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Miguel (Jon Huertas).

The third season will also look into the adult life of the Big Three. Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth's (Susan Kelechi Watson) marriage will be tested in Season 3. Newly-weds Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) may also encounter bumps in the early stages of their marriage. Kevin (Justin Hartley), on the other hand, will travel to Vietnam to learn more about Jack's past.

This Is Us Season 3 will have 18 episodes. It is expected to premiere in September 2018.
