Ian Somerhalder 2018: Nikki Reed's Husband Reunites With 'The Vampire Diaries' Co-Star Candice King In Paris, Damon & Caroline Set For Spin-Off Show?
Fans who have been wondering what Ian Somerhalder is up to these days are in for an awesome surprise. It looks like Nikki Reed's husband was recently in Paris hanging out with former The Vampire Diaries co-star Candice King. So could this mean that the two are working on a project together? Will Damon Salvatore and Caroline Forbes return in a possible spin-off show of the beloved CW series?
The Vampire Diaries may have concluded back in 2016 but fans have continued hoping to see Ian Somerhalder reprise his role as Damon Salvatore. Some have even gone as far as begging The CW to produce a standalone series focused solely on Damon. Has the network finally heard the public's pleas for more of Nikki Reed's husband? There are speculations that Somerhalder's meeting with Candice King might have something to do with a new show.
Just Jared Jr. reports that Ian Somerhalder had a fun reunion with Candice King, Paul Wesley, Daniel Gillies, Nathaniel Buzolic, Chase Coleman, and Riley Voelkel. The stars of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals were reportedly in Paris to attend the Blood Lust Convention on Sunday, April 29. Not surprisingly, the idea of seeing former bloodsuckers together immediately had fans wondering if they are all working together for a spin-off series.
Although it would be amazing to see Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore once again, there has been no confirmation of any The Vampire Diaries spin-off show being planned by The CW. However, that doesn't mean that fans will not see Nikki Reed's husband dealing with bloodsuckers again in the near future.
It has been confirmed that Ian Somerhalder will play the lead role in Netflix's new series based on the novel V-Wars. However, the former Vampire Diaries star will not be playing a bloodsucker in the 10-part show. Somerhalder has signed on as Dr. Luther Swann who needs to face his best friend Michael Fayne who was turned into a vampire.
Ian Somerhalder has recently confirmed that he will be attending the upcoming CatCon in Pasadena, California on August 4 and 5. The Vampire Diaries actor is expected to join feline celebrities for a good cause.
