The Wonder Woman 2 release date was finally revealed, but nothing much was said about the upcoming DC Extended Universe (DCEU) American superhero film. If there’s something that fans want to see in the sequel, it’s Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor. Will his death be undone so he could be with Gal Gadot’s Diana in the next installment?
Otakukart revealed that it appears that director Patty Jenkins and DC are planning to bring Chris Pine back in the sequel. While that sounded like amazing news for the fans, there’s one problem in bringing him back in Wonder Woman 2—Steve Trevor is dead! And since Chris Pine’s character was a full-blooded mortal, it’s quite hard to suddenly make him appear in the sequel because a normal human being doesn’t just casually rise from the dead.

Steve Trevor’s death in Wonder Woman was the ultimate sacrifice, and it certainly was a tissue-worthy scene. Just when the immortal demigod Diana felt what it was like to love and to be loved by a man, he had to face his demise to save everyone.

And because of that, Steve Trevor easily became a favorite character by most people in Wonder Woman. With the impact that he left to viewers, DC may have considered bringing the character back to Wonder Woman 2.
It could be possible that Gal Gadot’s character will figure out more power that she has and bring Steve Trevor back to life. Or, there could be someone else in Wonder Woman 2 who could do that for her.
It could also be possible that Chris Pine will go back as a totally different character and would cross paths with Diana. For now, these are all speculations and fans will just have to wait for Wonder Woman 2 when it hits the theaters on November 1, 2019, to finally know the truth.
