It is quite normal for a K-pop group to go through a temporary hiatus. This is the moment where the members get their much-needed break, and this is also their opportunity to brainstorm for their new materials for the fans. After they finally sort out all the necessary things, they will then have a comeback. Unfortunately, this has not happened to f(x) yet. On top of that, Luna’s post seemingly revealed that the possibility would not happen anytime soon.
f(x) singer Luna took to Instagram to vent her frustration over something. Although she didn’t reveal the reason that caused her to feel upset, many took it as a sign that there might be something wrong with their much-awaited comeback.

“Don't make promises you can't keep. Please,” Luna wrote on Instagram on May 1. Her post garnered a lot of concerns from fans, not only for the status of the S.M. Entertainment girl group but also for the singer’s well-being.
Concerned supporters left comments on Luna’s post, wondering what her message was all about. One fan asked, "What's going on? :(,” another one wrote, “ Who broke [their] promise?? Don't be upset.” One fan reassured the 24-year-old South Korean singer, actress and presenter that whatever she’s going through at the moment, her supporters will be there for her. "Remember we are always on your side,” the fan wrote.
Although it is still unclear if Luna’s recent post has something to do with their comeback, the fact that they have remained on hiatus since their album 4 Walls in 2016 is a likely conclusion to her frustration. The f(x) singer has yet to address all these speculations.
f(x) Comeback Still Not Happening After Extended Hiatus
Meanwhile, prior to her post, Luna appeared to be optimistic regarding the comeback of f(x). In fact, the singer noted that the fans have nothing to worry about as they will be seeing them soon.
"Today, I wore purple which represents f(x),” Luna said during her Naver V live with the title, “!t Live Special: The 3rd MUGI-BOX 'LUNA’ “ on April 24. "I'm aware that fans are dearly waiting for us. We will be greeting you guys soon so don't worry so much."
