BTS Update: BTS Army On Frenzy As K-Pop Idols Will Return In 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' To Perform New Single ‘Fake Love’
It looks like BTS will be staying for a little longer in the U.S. after they attend the 2018 Billboard Music Awards on May 20. The Korean boy band is set to come back to The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 25. The idols are reportedly scheduled to perform their latest track "Fake Love" on the American show and the BTS Army are freaking out with the news.
BTS will drop by at The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 25 and will perform "Fake Love" off their Love Yourself: Tear album, according to Variety. BTS' agency BigHit Entertainment confirmed the TV guesting but refused to reveal details about the new album title track. The company appealed to fans to wait for the official content about the group's third album and its lead track.
On Tuesday, The Ellen DeGeneres Show executive producer Andy Lassner released the lineup of the show's guests this month and it includes BTS. The BTS Army quickly turned to social media to express their excitement about the TV appearance. Apparently, BTS will be in the comedienne's show this month along with other artists.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show kicked off the month with Justin Timberlake and the rest of NSYNC's alums on May 1. U2's Bono and The Edge will perform and talk to DeGeneres about their U2 Experience + Innocence tour. The TV guesting will be aired on May 15. BTS will be in the show on May 25.
BTS first appeared on Ellen in November 2017 when they were in the U.S. to perform at the 2017 American Music Awards. Back then, the group performed the remix version of their hit song "MIC Drop" for the first time. Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are expected to bring the audience to their feet once again with their performance of a new song on May 25.
The group will be in the U.S. next month to perform at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 20. BMAs earlier announced that the group will also perform a new song in the awards night. BTS is nominated for the Top Social Artist award this year. This is the second consecutive nomination of the group. The seven-member group took home the prize last year.
Meanwhile, BTS' new album Love Yourself: Tear is scheduled for release on May 18. Tear is a follow-up to Love Yourself: Her.
