Previously Unexplored Story Of Frieza and The Saiyans
The upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie will explore the previously untold story of the Frieza and the Saiyan race as revealed by creator Akira Toriyama via his site and further supported by the film's first trailer. However, the trailer had fans speculating the movies protagonist Goku might be facing a totally different breed of Sayan this time. These speculations are based on the appearance of Goku's still-unidentified opponent whose eyes, hands, build, and tail are markedly different from that of a regular Saiyan.
A New Planet Will Be Introduced
One exciting detail that was revealed is that the Dragon Ball Super movie will be introducing at least one brand new planet, as reported by Blasting News. This was revealed when Toriyama released 20 sheets of designs which include the new planet as well as designs from some of the film's characters and machines. With this detail in mind, fans can expect Goku to go on exciting adventures touring exotic lands and meeting new friends as well as new enemies.
There Will Be Flashbacks and Time Travels
Fans can likewise expect some flashbacks and time travel woven into the Dragon Ball Super film's storyline. These would be the only possible explanations to the rather baffling reveal by Dragon Room chief Akio Iyoku as translated by Herms98 which talked about parts of the story being in both the past and the present.
As speculated by Comic Book, this "multi-layered story set in both the past and the present" might have some connection with the true source of Goku's power. In fact, the story of the Dragon Ball Super movie might not only cover Frieza's origins but the origin of the first Super Saiyan himself.
Of course, these are all speculations for now. We'll keep you posted as soon as more details pop up. The Dragon Ball Super movie will be released in Japan on December 14, 2018. Stay tuned for updates.
