Attack on Titan Season 3 is hitting small screens in no time. With that, fans are now more excited to see a longer version of their favorite anime series. In fact, international viewers can now celebrate as Funimation got the international distribution of the show's upcoming installment.

Funimation formally announced it successfully acquired the international rights of Attack on Titan Season 3's broadcast distribution in the U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. This even includes the anime series' release on home entertainment and video on demand.

"We're thrilled to be bringing back Attack on Titan for its third season in 2018 and on the heels of the series' long-awaited and exciting return last year," CEO and founder of Funimation Gen Fukunaga said, per Anime News Network. Since Wit Studio released Attack on Titan Season 3's teaser image in October 2017, Fukunaga revealed the show based on Hajime Isayama's manga series with the same title got even more hype.

In fact, fans are now more excited to see what is in store in Attack on Titan Season 3. In an in-studio interview with the anime series director Tetsuro Araki, per Comicbook, he teased they will be putting their "best efforts" in creating the show's new installment. As a matter of fact, he revealed they really enjoyed making the anime; thus, it "turned out well in the end."

Araki also teased what fans could see in the upcoming Attack on Titan Season 3. He hinted the possible appearance of the man with the glasses, seen at the end of the previous season, in the new installment. He also revealed viewers should wait and see if everyone will be able to survive and if somebody will die. "It's hard to know. Look forward to the next season," he said.

Fortunately, fans could enjoy Attack on Titan Season 3 longer compared to its previous season. The upcoming new installment has 24 episodes to offer, while season 2 only had the half of it—12 episodes count.

However, Attack on Titan Season 3 is still one episode shorter compared to that of season 1, which had 25 episodes. It was also earlier revealed there will be new faces coming, and the fan-favorite original characters will return.

Attack on Titan Season 3 will be released on July 22 on NHK in Japan. The series' new official trailer with English subtitle was also recently unveiled.
