As BTS dropped its 2018 world tour dates and venues, it was also announced that the group has also broken its own pre-sale record. The K-pop group's upcoming album Love Yourself: Tear has collected more than 1.44 million pre-orders, bumping their very own Love Yourself: Her to second place.

As per the report of iRiver Inc., the company that is in charge of the Bangtan Boys' album distribution, Love Yourself: Tear garnered a total of 1,449,287 copies in pre-sale as of April 24. The pre-order started on April 18. The recorded data is only in domestic orders and doesn't include the early orders made by international retailers or fans abroad.

The upcoming album also topped Amazon's CDs & Vinyl Best Seller list. Tear also continues to rank No. 1 for this week.

BTS recorded 1.05 million in pre-sale orders with Love Yourself: Her in September. The Bangtan Boys didn't only break their own record for the most pre-sale album among the K-pop artists. The new record also makes them the first K-pop group to have multiple albums that exceeded the one million mark in pre-order sales.

BTS is set to drop Love Yourself: Tear on May 18, two days before their highly-anticipated performance at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards on May 20 in Las Vegas. BMAs earlier confirmed that the septet would be performing a new single in BMAs, making them the first-ever K-pop group to do so.

BTS is nominated for Top Social Artist award for two consecutive years. Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook won the award last year. BTS is going up against Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendes this year.

What You Need To Know About BTS' New Album Love Yourself: Tear

It was first announced on April 14, following the release of a nine-minute music video, titled "Euphoria: Theme of Love Yourself Wonder," on YouTube. Initially, the lengthy clip was speculated to have provided hints that the K-pop act's next album would be titled Love Yourself: Wonder. Evidently, the speculation is not true.

Tear is a follow-up for Love Yourself: Her and the second in the K-pop group's Love Yourself series. Unlike Her, Tear will come out as a full-length album. It explores topics relating to pain and sorrow of separation.

The BTS new album will also come in four different versions. All will have a CD, some photo books and mini books, a random photocard, a special photo card, a standing photo, and a poster.
