The Bangtan Boys aka BTS will drop a continuation of the Love Yourself series. Formed by Big Hit Entertainment, the South Korean boy band took to Twitter to announce their next project titled Love Yourself: Tear. BTS has decided to release their new album on May 18 of this year.

Apart from Twitter, BTS' agency Big Hit Entertainment made the details public by uploading a post on BTS' official fan website on Tuesday. The release date is clearly mentioned on the website. The upcoming album titled Love Yourself: Tear is a sequel to Love Yourself: Her (released in September 2017) and Love Yourself: Wonder (released in April 2018).

According to Inquirer.net, the "beginning and end of love" is the hymn of the Love Yourself series. As the K-Pop lovers have experienced the fluttering sensation of a new love in the previous works of BTS, the upcoming one will mainly try to express the pain of falling apart. Love Yourself: Tear, unlike the previous Love Yourself: Her, is going to be made as a full-length album. The upcoming album is the group's third LP (in the Korean language) that was first announced on April 14.

Although little is known about BTS' upcoming album, the news of its release arrived a few weeks after the South Korean boy band dropped their Euphoria: Theme of Love Yourself Wonder video. The good news for fans is that the pre-orders of Love Yourself: Tear can be done from April 18. The pre-orders have already crossed 1.05 million copies, and the album was ranked number seven on Billboard 200's album chart.

On the other hand, BTS is growing quickly to become one of the most dominant international acts in the American music industry - having millions of followers around the world. They also won the top Social Artist award at the Billboard Music Awards in 2017, and also appeared on Social 50 for a continuous 78 weeks, as reported by Billboard.

Fans will be very glad to know that their favorite boy band BTS have won another honor courtesy of the Soompi Awards. On Monday, the winners were announced across various categories for its 13th annual awards show. They did not just win one or two, BTS won six awards and made a record. The Soompi Award is considered the largest international awards spotlighting the best in Korean music and television.
