A sequel to Tom Clancy's The Division is finally coming although Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft have not confirmed the release date. No such details on the game have been disclosed except a recent logo released by Ubisoft on the starting of this month. The video game aficionados are passionately waiting to know the recent developments in the game.

More fans' expectations from Tom Clancy's The Division 2

Here are few things that that fans expect Tom Clancy's The Division 2 to do better than the original game released in March 2016. The foremost thing is the customization of weapons. Augmenting the limits of how much a gamer can customize a weapon will undoubtedly allow him to play in his own style. The players will be able to handle certain powerful foes in their own ways, as they will have different customizations for their weapons. This will make the battle more interesting to the players. On the other hand, Ubisoft is expected to implement better anti-cheat technologies and implement strict gameplay rules to stop cheats that were quite possible in the original game, as reported by Thy Blackman.

Ubisoft's Creative Director mentions the insertion of "Shields"

As far as the release of Tom Clancy's The Division 2's logo is concerned, Ubisoft's Creative Director, Julian Gerighty posted a blog post (on Ubisoft) where he elucidated his and the team's two years of experience and journey since the last of the first game. He also gladly announced that the team is constantly working on the second game, and the development is being led by Massive Entertainment in association with Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Bucharest, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Red Storm Entertainment.

Gerighty further mentioned that Tom Clancy's The Division 2 would be powered by an updated version of the Snowdrop engine. According to him, the Snowdrop engine's updated version enables us to realize their ambitions for the upcoming second version of the game. Interestingly, the teammates are taking everything they learned over the past two years to ensure the result is perfect for the gamers. Keeping that in mind, they are adding a new type of achievement termed "Shields" to the game. If the players are able to earn the Shields, special rewards will be automatically unlocked for them to take it further.

Much more to be revealed at E3 2018

In the end, Gerighty expressed his gratitude on behalf of his team to the gamers and almost vowed to reveal what they have in store for Tom Clancy's The Division 2 at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 (or E3 2018). E3 2018 is scheduled from June 12 to 14 this year at Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles.
