‘Santa Clarita Diet’ Season 2 Gets A New Airing Date, Probable Chance Of Getting 10 Episodes
Netflix's horror-comedy web series, Santa Clarita Diet Season 2 will be airing on March 23. The series has also added four new actors.
The news of Santa Clarita Diet Season 2's airing was announced through a video on the streaming giant's official Facebook page. It showed Joel (Timothy Olyphant) and his wife, Sheila (Drew Barrymore) warmly greeting their friends and neighbors. Express reports that the upcoming season will have 10 episodes.
New actors in Santa Clarita Diet Season 2
X-Files actor Joel McHale has joined the series to play the role of Chris in Season 2. McHale is a realtor who is married to Christa played by newcomer Maggie Walson. Christa is also a realtor by her profession.
The other actors joining Santa Clarita Diet Season 2 are Gerald McRaney and Zachary Knighton, who will be seen joining the role of Ed Thune, a retired army colonel. The new actor named Zachary Knighton will play the role of Paul. He will be given the task to pursue the truth about the undead.
The main characters are hiding a dangerous truth
Some other actors' characters will be back in the frame from the previous season. One of them is Liv Hewson who plays the role of Abby, the daughter of Sheila and Joel. The viewers will be much happy to know that Ellen DeGeneres' (lesbian) girlfriend Portia de Rossi is also reprising her role as Cora Wolf in Season 2. Wolf is a scientist who is mainly focused on the undead.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the cannibalistic series lovers will get to see Joel and his wife, Sheila trying to maintain a tad normalcy in their lives while in an attempt to hide the actual truth that people are gradually going missing in the suburb of California.
