It has been almost four years since Sons of Anarchy ended, but fans are still hoping to see the crime drama series' continuation. As its spin-off series, Mayans MC, is about to hit the small screens, viewers might see more prequels and sequels in the near future.

The series' creator Kurt Sutter is eyeing to make bigger things out of Jax Teller's (Charlie Hunnam) story with more shows out of it. In an interview with Tom Arnold's 100% Honest podcast, the 57-year-old screenwriter revealed his plans for the four Sons of Anarchy series he is working on.

He said, via Unilad, that Sons of Anarchy has four chapters. The first one is the original Hunnam show, while the second is the upcoming Mayans MC. The third and fourth will be the prequel and sequel he has in the works.

The prequel series, titled The First 9, will be giving a light to John Teller's (Victor Newmark) script. If any twist of fate that he manages to pull this, he would use the manuscript as his starting point to do the prequel.

The Sons of Anarchy prequel's story would see Jax's father and Piney Winston (William Lucking) in Vietnam, making their way back to America. Apparently, in every new episode, there will be a new member to be introduced until Gemma (Katey Sagal) comes along.

"I don't want to step on the mythology that we know but we kind of lay track to the beginning and then stop," Sutter explained.

The Sons of Anarchy sequel, on the other hand, would be the fourth and final part of the series. This is believed to be the icing on the top of the cake as it will tell the future. Here, Jax's sons would know things about their father and other stuff that he has been into. Of course, this includes being a part of the close-knit outlaw motorcycle club.

"That, for me, is the dream quartet, if you will," Sutter said.

Evidently, Sutter has a big dream to continue Sons of Anarchy's story. So, it looks like fans just have to wait a little longer to make these prequel and sequel series to fruition as Mayans MC is about to be released this year.
