Bill Gates To Appear in ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 11, First Time For The Tech Billionaire

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is set to appear for the first time in The Big Bang Theory Season 11. This is going to be his first-ever appearance in the hit TV sitcom. The Caltech geniuses of TBBT are definitely excited but whether they will see the tech billionaire or not remains unclear.

Gates has already signed up for a one-episode guesting in The Big Bang Theory Season 11. Apparently, he will meet Penny (Kaley Cuoco) in an episode that will air next month. Gates will appear as himself in a pharmaceutical event in which Penny will find herself hosting Gates.

This is the first time for Gates in TBBT. He, however, is not actually new in TV sitcoms. He previously appeared as himself on Frasier Season 9 in 2001.

Gates is about to join the long list of famous figures that appeared in The Big Bang Theory. Another tech billionaire, Elon Musk, had already appeared in TBBT. The Tesla Inc. co-founder appeared as himself in an episode in 2015 where he was seen volunteering at a soup kitchen with Howard (Simon Helberg). Other notable guest celebrities in the series include Stephen Hawking, Stan Lee, Buzz Aldrin, Neil deGrasse Tyson, George Takei, Leonard Nimoy, Steve Wozniak, Adam West, and Bill Nye.

Are The Boys Going to See Bill Gates?

It will be a riot if they will not. We can imagine how will Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Raj (Kunal Nayaar), and Howard will react once Penny told them about Gates. It is expected that the ever tech-loving guys will go to great lengths just to see the business magnate, that is if Penny will not invite them. This is where all the chaos begin.

It is important to note, however, that this is not the first time for the boys to meet Gates. It can be recalled that in "The Toast Derivation" episode in 2011, it was mentioned that Sheldon and the three already saw Gates at Caltech. However, Sheldon's first meeting with Gates did not go very well as the latter ended up with a bleeding nose.

In the episode, Raj, Leonard, and Howard excitedly retold the story to Raj's sister, Priya. Raj said Gates smacked Sheldon in the nose after he told the billionaire, "maybe if you weren't so distracted by sick children in Africa, you could have put a little more thought into Windows Vista."

The question now is - will Sheldon seek revenge on Gates? Knowing Sheldon, he never forgets, especially not this one. Let's all wait and see. The Big Bang Theory Season 11 is set to return on March 1st at 8 p.m. on CBS.
