BTS Becomes First K-Pop Group To List In UK And German Charts

BTS became the first K-pop band to have a song listed on top 100 single charts in Germany and the UK. Its agency Big Hit Entertainment revealed this information on Saturday. 

The boy band's remix of the song "MIC Drop," originally released in September, ranked 46th on the UK's official top 100 single charts. The song has ranked 71st on Germany's official top 100 single charts, as reported by Soompi.

"MIC Drop" remix was released on the 24th of this month, with Steve Aoki and Desiigner joining the world of DJs. It is also known as "iTunes Song Top Chart" And more than 50 countries. In addition, 'MIC Drop' remix music video YouTube view is also climbing close to 40 million views, showing the popularity of the uninhibited.

The song's original Korean version -- written by Pdogg, Supreme Boi, Bang Si-hyuk, J-Hope, and RM -- is included in BTS' album "Love Yourself: Her."  The new version released in November was remixed by American DJ Steve Aoki and features rapper Desiigner. 

Seven-piece boy band BTS -- consisting of Jin, J-Hope, RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook -- has been making ripples in the global pop scene. It topped Google searches in the US after performing at the American Music Awards last month, and won the best artist award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong on Friday, as reported by The Jakarta Post.

BTS has also made history, with the Korean boy band's "Mic Drop (Remix)," remixed by Steve Aoki and featuring Desiigner, landing at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It is the highest a song by a K-pop group has ever ranked on the U.S. chart. The famous K-pop has dominated social media and seen huge gains on music charts recently. The group has received enormous support from a dedicated fandom known collectively as ARMY.
