'My Hero Academia: One's Justice' Game Coming To PS4 And Nintendo Switch
The renowned publisher of "Dark Souls," Ni No Kuni, and the "Dragon Ball FighterZ" series, Bandai Namco has announced a brand new "My Hero Academia" project. Making an appearance ahead of schedule, "Hero Academia: One Justice" is headed to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
A countdown website for the game has been live for some time; however, it now shows a microwave with the text "click" flashing. The microwave opens when clicked on the flashing text and a grenade rolls out of it with a countdown that says, 3 days left.
Japanese magazine V Jump, which focuses on manga and video games, has confirmed the title's existence (via Gematsu). Other details including what kind of game it will be when it hits the store shelves are few and far between. It also remains to be seen whether or not the title will come to other platforms.
These details are likely to surface online when the game's first trailer rolls out on December 16. It's worth noting that the countdown on the teaser website was originally slated to end on Monday, December 4; however, Jump's latest issue suggests "My Hero Academia: One Justice" will come to both PS4 and the Big N's popular console, Switch some time in near future.
It can be recalled that "My Hero Academia" began three years ago as a manga series in Japan. It was adapted into an anime, which along with the manga has garnered huge popularity among fans. A third season of the hit anime is just around the corner, and eight volumes of the manga are already up for grabs.
The franchise boasts one video game, dubbed "My Hero Academia: Battle for All," which was released for 3DS last year. Regrettably, the title was not released in the West. Jump Festa 2018 kicks off December 16 and will conclude on December 17.
In other news, Japanese book and video game publisher Shueisha (via Comicbook) has confirmed the "My Hero Academia" series will do a collaboration with Star Wars series this year. Yonkou Productions shared a photo from the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on Twitter.
The franchise is expected to unveil a Star Wars collaboration poster in February. The magazine's release scheduled for February 3 will come with the exclusive promo image.
