Fresh from their groundbreaking performance at American Music Awards (AMA) that had fans all over the world buzzing on Twitter, the South Korean boyband BTS achieved another milestone. Bangtan Boys' (BTS) recent performance at the 2017 AMAs helped them in landing a spot in the Guinness World Records 2018.

Guinness World Records shared the news on Twitter congratulating @BTS_twt on a stellar performance at @AMAs! "#DYK (Did you know)? The South Korean band has succeeded in earning a spot in this year's #GWR2018 edition for having the world's most @Twitter engagements for a music group! #BTSxAMAs"

Just last September, BTS was privileged in the same category and featured in the latest The Guinness World Records 2018 book, in which the records were updated up to last May. Under the social media category, BTS had the second-most Twitter engagements for a performer, as reported by NST.

The Guinness World Records has yet to reveal how many retweets or posts BTS had acquired on Twitter during its magnificent AMA performance. However, according to the website Social Blade, which lists the top 10 Twitter profiles sorted by overall engagement, BTS is currently at the top with 252,231 average retweets and 634,246 likes per post, as reported by All K-Pop.

Three other BTS-related profiles, @bts_love_myself, @bts_bighit and @BigHitEnt are also in the top 10 list. Moreover, BTS is currently the South Korean artiste with the highest number of followers with 10.3 million followers on Twitter.

In the meantime, BTS is also said to have recorded a special performance for this year's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, the annual most-watched New Year's Eve TV special in the US. BTS will continue to feast their charm on U.S. television by appearing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday, November 21. They have also held an outdoor mini-concert on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that will air on November 29.
