In an effort to boost sales in the course of ailing business, LG Electronics has uncovered the white color edition to its flagship G4 smartphone series. The South Korean multinational electronics company made the announcement on Nov. 11, as reported by Korea Herald.

LG Electronics said that the latest version of the G4 that has white cover with gold edges would be appealing to female and young customers.

Reports revealed that the new version was made available in South Korea on Nov. 11, however, the company did not reveal whether the white edition will be made available in markets outside the country.

Tech Times noted that the G4 white edition would cost around $600 in South Korea. It also added that the white edition features the same specifications just like other G4 versions.

However, the white edition has a matte one back cover unlike the textured back covers of other LG G4 editions.

G4 smartphone has a 5.5-inch quad HD screen, 16-megapixel camera and 32 gigabytes expandable memory.

According to reports, LG Electronics might still have plans with variants for its G4 smartphone series. A recent information revealed that a smartphone created by LG Electronics has surfaced the internet when it reportedly passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Further reports revealed that the device bears the model number LG-H815PX. Aside from that, the smartphone reportedly has a certification from the FCC.

No further reports have confirmed whether the said device could be the white edition or an entirely latest smartphone. On the other hand, some reports claim it could be the G5, which some sources said could be released this month.

Meanwhile, the South Korean handset maker recorded an operating income of 200 million won in the second quarter of the current year, while it suffered an operating loss of 77.6 billion won during the third quarter.
