'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3: What's the Big Announcement in Weekly Young Jump #46?
"Tokyo Ghoul" fans have been expecting a big announcement to appear in Weekly Young Jump #46. The Japanese manga magazine published the announcement on October 12, 2017. As it turns out, the hyped-up "big announcement" turned out to be less informative than expected.
According to Inquisitr, fans have been waiting for news about the current manga series "Tokyo Ghoul: re." Many thought that there would be a word from manga creator Sui Ishida about the ending of the second series and the upcoming birth of a third manga series. But the message published in Weekly Young Jump said nothing about a third series.
The only news concerning the manga stated that Volume 13 would be available by October 19, 2017. The magazine also provided an update on the publishing success of the "Tokyo Ghoul: re" manga. "All over the world, we have 32 million copies in print! Thank you!" it reported.
While the first "Tokyo Ghoul" manga reached its ending with Chapter 143, the second series has made it to Chapter 144 without yet coming to a conclusion. Fans can expect the next manga chapter to come out next week. It is scheduled to appear in Weekly Young Jump #47 on October 19.
Meanwhile, the anime's third season has not received a release date, but it is expected to come out in 2018. The "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 teaser trailer has come out, but it does not give the series return date. The trailer is here:
Blasting News notes that season 3 of the anime will focus on a new protagonist, Haise Sasaki. He replaces the deceased Ken Kaneki.
Sasaki was a normal human student until he went on a date with a ghoul. He was attacked and turned into a ghoul himself. Now taking on the title of the Black Reaper, Sasaki joins the Quinx Squad, a group made up of humans who have had ghouls surgically implanted in their bodies.
