‘High School Musical 4’ Pushed Back More? Vanessa Hudgens Busy With ‘Second Act’ With Jennifer Lopez
In the last week of September, fans were thrilled that the "High School Musical 4" was finally coming true after a fan-made trailer went viral. Fans were all the more thrilled when Vanessa Hudgens expressed her excitement over the possibility of a 'High School Musical 4' reunion movie. However, fans' hopes seemed to be quashed as it was recently confirmed that Hudgens will instead be busy with another film project.
Hudgens, who will definitely retain her role as Gabriella Montez in the much-anticipated "High School Musical 4" has just joined the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy, "Second Act," starring Lopez. The film is to be directed by Peter Segal and is based on a brainchild concept by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Justin Zackham. Deadline has reported that the film will follow the formula of "Maid in Manhattan" and "Working Girl." Lopez will be this big-box employee who is out to prove everybody that street smarts are equally as dependable as those who hold college degrees.
Hudgens' role in the "Second Act" is far from her role in the "High School Musical" as she will be a young executive at a consumer goods company. Lopez has announced Hudgens' participation in her film through her Instagram account. Lopez welcomed Hudgens dearly as she posted a photo of them hugging closely.
Fans waiting for the "High School Musical 4" will need to wait a little more as Hudgens is still currently busy with the filming of Ken Marino's "Dog Days." She plays Tara, a coffee shop barista who wanted more out of life. Also, cast in the film is Nina Dobrev.
It would be recalled that Hudgens stated that she was impressed by the fan-made trailer of the "High School Musical 4." She loved it and had, in fact, discussed it with Ashley Tisdale. Hudgens told Young Hollywood that she was particularly awed about the trailer's visuals.
