Is Lee Jin Wook Returning To The Small Screen?

Lee Jin Wook is expected to return back to small screen after a gap of one year. Wook, who was last seen in tvN's "Dear My Friend", distanced himself from the television after the sexual assault controversy last year.

He will play a lead role in SBS's new drama "Return" opposite Go Hyun Jung.The new law drama is a story of a murder case whose suspects are from the upper class.So far no information has been shared about Wook's character, but Jung will be seen as a lawyer (Choi Ja Hye) who comes from the humble beginnings. Although the actor's label 'C&Co ENS' denied of any such report.

"We never received any such offer from the producers. Till now we cannot answer anything with surety as his comeback plans are not yet confirmed" quoted Lee Jin Wook's agency. Giving a hint, the representative from SBS said, "We are discussing some projects but nothing is confirmed for now."

The 36-years old South Korean actor was accused of sexual assault by a woman. She complained that Lee followed her till home after the dinner with mutual friends and raped her.

However, Lee always said that he is being framed in the case. Later the court also gave him a clean in the case. Last year in September after a series of hearings, Lee was discharged of the allegations and was set free. The woman, who accuse him was sent behind the bars.

Although the case was closed after the incident, Lee never returned to the screen. Fans last saw the glimpse of their favorite actor one year before.

Earlier it was also reported that Lee Jin Wook will return to the big screen with an indie film, "The Winter Guest Who's Scarier Than A Tiger." Lee Jin Wook started his career as a print model for brand Panasonic in 2003. He made his first acting debut in "My New Boyfriend" in 2004.
